GOD THE FATHER:
We believe that God the Father is the first person of the Godhead. We believe that He is all- knowing (omniscient), present in all places at all time (omnipresent) and all powerful (omnipotent). We believe that he is eternal, unchanging, holy and the Father of both our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and of all true believers.
GOD THE SON:
We believe that Jesus Christ is the second person of the Godhead. We believe that He is that promised messiah, the only begotten son of God who came to earth as a mortal man to save a lost world. We believe that in becoming a man, He never ceased being fully God yet fully man. We believed that He was conceived by the Holy Spirit with the Virgin Mary. We believe that He lived a sinless and perfect life. We believe that He gave Himself as a sacrifice for the sins of mankind, was crucified and buried in a tomb. We believe that, after being 3 days in the grave, He rose from the dead ascended back into heaven where He is now seated at the right hand of the Father making intercession on our behalf. We believe that the salvation of mankind comes only through belief in the name of Jesus and His finished works on Calvary’s cross. We believe that in the fullness of time, He will return and catch away the body of Christ in the earth. We also believe that He will execute a final judgement upon all of His enemies and reign eternally in His kingdom.
GOD THE HOLY SPIRIT:
We believe that the Holy Spirit is the third person of the Godhead. We believe that, after Christ’s resurrection, on the day of Pentecost, the promised Holy Spirit of God descended from heaven and filled all believers in Christ who were assembled in the upper room at Jerusalem. We believe that the Holy Spirit is the primary agent for the conviction of sin and for the new birth of believers. We believe that, at the new birth of believers, the Holy Spirit comes and takes up permanent residence in their lives. We believe that it is the Holy Spirits presence in believers that seals them until the day of redemption. We believe that it is by the Holy Spirit that yielded believers are able to live and accomplish all that is foreordained for them by God.
THE SCRIPTURES:
We believe that the entire bible, from Genesis to Revelation, is the inerrant and inspired word of God. We believe that it is good for “doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness.” As such, it, and it alone, is the final authority for our life and faith in Jesus Christ.
SATAN:
We believe that Satan is a fallen angel who led a rebellion against God and who obtained temporary rulership of the earth because of the disobedience of Adam (the first man). We believe he was defeated at the cross of Christ and now awaits the execution of his final judgement after the Millennial Kingdom, at which time he will be cast into the eternal lake of fire. We believe that all of Satan’s power is only by permission from God and can be resisted by the believer through faith and reliance on the power of the Holy Spirit.
MAN:
We believe that on the sixth day of creation, God created man. We believe that man was created in the image of God and was sinless. We believe that man became alienated from God when he fell into sin by his disobedience which brought about both his physical and his spiritual death. We believe that man alone is incapable of restoring a right relationship with God through his own efforts or goodness.
SALVATION:
We believe that salvation and the restoration of man’s relationship with God comes only through confessing the name of Jesus Christ and belief in His resurrection. We believe that belief in His shed blood, His death, His burial and His resurrection provide the sole basis for the forgiveness of our sins and for the salvation of all men. We believe that man’s salvation is a free gift of God’s grace and requires no work on the part of men. We believe that when that free gift is accepted, we are “born again” through the power of the Holy Spirit and are “sealed” or, kept by the power of the Holy Spirit until the day of redemption. We believe in the repentance of men, that is, a turning away from an old life of sin, and turning to God and living a life of holiness.
BAPTISM:
We believe in water baptism in the name of Jesus through complete emersion for all who have accepted His finished works on the cross.
